Dear readers, thank you for taking a moment to stop and look over our website.
For most of my adult life I have been involved with the game of tennis. In the day time I have helped maintain tennis courts, primarily the green soft courts which we often refer to as clay courts. In the evenings I have taught tennis in the parks. I have taught primarily beginner children and adults. And I have spent a lot of time helping to provide opportunities for people to play and to learn tennis. Most of my books are observations, reflections, wishes, prayers, and insights as I go about my life going to work, playing tennis, teaching tennis, going to church, and visiting friends. Ideas give me energy. And writing is like breathing for me. My books help me to see what is important and to help me keep my eye on that. I really do think that God and life bring certain ideas and people through our life at a certain time for a reason. Another theme in my books is how people learn and play tennis. Just some little ideas. They say that tennis is a game for a lifetime. And I believe that the learning of tennis goes on for a life time. Another theme in my books is about the song or swing inside us. I believe that inside each person there is a swing or song. Father Matt Linn said that there is a song inside each one of us. Father Jerry said that God put that song inside us. So how to get in touch with our song? Or how to find our swing? How to get the good shots out of us that are inside us out? Some of my books explore this theme. So do I have all the answers? No way. I am a work in progress. Very much so. Mother Teresa said that she is a pencil in the hand of the Lord who is writing a love story to the world. I am at best a secretary writing down the ideas, the observations, reflections, prayers that come through my life. It is like looking through my journal. And a funny thing happens. When the narrator reads through these ideas in a slow way out loud, it comes together like a meditation. The audiobooks are very beautiful. Still the ideas in a book are very powerful. They help me to see the light in the darkness I thank all the people in my life who have helped me in my life. I thank all the people who have helped me publish and market my books. I particularly thank Ava and her vision and her fellow workers at Gotham Books. Sincerely and with love, Eugene St. Martin
